Fraudster caught selling goods on EBay

One of the news headlines today made me laugh, 'Ebay fraudster caught in sting'. Shock, horror, you mean some of the stuff sold on EBay is fake? I will have to go check those Ray Bans I bought for £3.99 that normally retail at £120.

Annual frauds on EBay reportedly in the £millions go, on the whole unreported and unsolved. EBay itself is reasonably proactive in dealing with suspected criminals using the auction site but does very little to bring people to justice, prefering to just ban them (albeit temporarily until they open a new account).

Well today, an enterprising British fraudster, Bhavin Shah, 28, (a good olde worlde English name) who went by the username 'Healthheaven2000' was convicted for selling dodgy computer games and cosmetics online to the tune of about £26000 and was ordered to complete 270 hours community service. Erm, where was the jail time? Where was the fine? If people steal money from me (and that is what fraud is) then they should go to jail, not just help out at old people's homes at the weekend.

Well, that sentence really showed him. I bet he has been taught a lesson he'll not forget for at least another week!

  5. If anybody can give me details on this guy, PLEASE contact me at lev_a_msg@hotmail.com. A guy named ''Bhavin Shah'' from Harrow just duped me off of £5000 and he's doing this to 100s of others, but he leaves nothing behind that could be used as evidence against his acts.
