Italy has hardly been a world power since the times of Ceasar so where does Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi get off talking on his mobile telephone during a photo session for NATO world leaders? He turned his back on Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel (I don't think it is the first time Italy has turned it's back on Germany) and ignored the others, including Liar-bore's Gordie Brown and the new US President Alabama or whatever his name is. The call continued for over 8 minutes and even went on during the brass band that was there to welcome them all.
Italians ignorant? Never........ In the end the photograph went ahead without the ignoramous.
So what was he talking about that was so important? According to Italy's ANSA news agency, the Italian leader was ordering in a salami and cheese pizza and some cheap red wine for his private feast that evening.
Now if NATO was wondering where to dump it's nuclear arsenal now it's not needed, despite loving pasta, I have a suggestion.

Well mates, I guess some of you may be able to explain why if we are so bloody ignorant, so many US students come to Italy to study classics and humanities...is that just because they've got some sort of temple in ruins? Anyways my 2 cents on the Italians: they are more style than substance...this is why they are so great in the kitchen ;-) and why they do well at fashion and design. But they lack depth, they are not known for IT, hi-tech innovation, etc. They rely too much on their history and image, and don't do enough hard work now. More egotistical than most other nationalities--goes with being an artist, no? No nationality is perfect, all have their failings....your thoughts create the world you see ultimately....

I'm a 16-year-old Italian boy and I hate Italy so much that I don't even consider myself as Italian. Italians are rude, arrogant, ignorant, noisy, racist and narrow-minded. They think THEIR country (no longer mine) is the best on earth just because 2000 years ago they ruled on a bunch of primitive tribes, but now the world has changed! Now Italy is as important as Congo, yet far poorer. These few words are not enough to express the hatred I feel towards Italy and its people. My parents always told me to move outside Italy when I would grow up, in fact we have spent our summers in the UK for three years and I will always be grateful to them for this. I hope to be accepted to a British University and start a new life in Britain. If I manage to escape this hell, I'll never want to meet any Italian nor speak that horrible language.

This is not uncommon among Italians and I have met many who are without family because they didn't fit the TV version of whatever "crap' the Italians were expecting. I tried to establish a family with them with gifts and general charm and personality. it did not work. It didn't make me look like their favorite TV star. I am old now and alone and they know I am somewhere out there. I have a brother who disowned me when I was 17 of 18 and cousins. I will die alone or with friends. They are evil strange people and when I hear about sociopaths, I can't help but think there should be italianopaths as well. Their cruelty is unique.

ReplyDeleteI am Italian and was a nice compassionate child, but my Italian relatives did not like me and by the time I was 18, I was disowned by my extended family. I will never know why. I remember having an aunt who loved all us cousins and would always do something for us after school, but unfortunately she got cancer and my cousin, Helen, called everyone and told them that we would no longer have anything to do with her since she was a burden now. I was only 16 but visited her until she died. This made me public enemy #1 with Helen. how dare I do against her orders. But my Aunt Elizabeth was no longer useful and she was gone to them. She died alone with the help of Hospice. I could see the look on her face of not understanding what was happening and where was her family. I never told her. This was a big shock to me. I didn't know yet that this would also be my fate. No matter how I tried I they did not feel that I had the looks to make them feel good about themselves and after 18 I was gone. I worked every day of my life and put myself through school at night the best the I could, but today, I have cousins and a brother who disowned me because I didn't fit into their view of what I should look like. I have no idea where they are. I have met other Italians with the same story as mine and I know it is not uncommon among Italians. We do not all act or think this way, but too many do.

If Italy's so great, why have millions of Italians pleaded on their knees to get into almost every nation on earth?
If host nations are as 'bad' as Italian migrants endlessly claim -- why don't all the Italians living outside of Italy go BACK to Italy? Ask them. They'll refuse to answer. The grandmother had dyed black hair, was around fifty and has a coarse, rough, ugly face like a man. She speaks as if she has a microphone embedded in her throat and constantly looks around to see if people are noticing her. She's always screaming for attention in this suburb. She can walk perfectly well, but chooses to get around in a mobility scooter for attention, for pity and because she's lazy. We all know she can move without aid. In the supermarket, she seeks out new targets and then monopolises them for ten minutes by pretending she's unable to walk. She gets her targets to take items down from shelves so she can pretend to decide whether or not to buy them. Then she hands that item back and gets the target to take another item from the shelf for her -- on and on, until the target has finally had enough and leaves. That Italian woman has been doing it for years and there are at least half a dozen others, also Italian, who play the same game and who fly Italian flags from their unnecessary mobility scooters, even though the idiots were born in Australia and everything they have came out of Australia
The place next to ours has just been rented by --- sigh, an Italian family. Why don't Italians know how to close doors? Don't they have doors in Italy? Is that why Italians deliberately slam heavy doors multiple times? Or is it because they just have to do anything they can to make the lives of others unpleasant?
Why do Italians become almost hysterical if another of their family or gang is around? Why do they get so over-excited and begin shouting and yelling, even if they saw the same family or gang member only half an hour before? And why do they suddenly start acting as if they're going to take over the world, once they have another family or gang member with them? When they're on their own, they keep their head down. But the moment they have another of their kind with them, they think they're Rocky and start sticking out their chins and necks and mouths aggressively toward people who pass on the footpath. So, they only feel confident in numbers? Like wild dogs?
There it goes again -- the deliberate, ear-shattering slamming of a door they don't even own by the Italians who pay rent to their landlord because they don't own anything of their own. Maybe that's why they slam as many doors as they can as loudly as they can -- because they're jealous of actual home-owners?
I've made all the excuses for Italians that I'm prepared to make. These days, I say openly that I find nothing attractive about them at the same time I find so much about them to be sub-par

And I tell them they do NOT own the footpath and if they do NOT remove their vehicle and allow me access to the footpath, I will photograph their offending vehicle/s and notify the police. At that point, they usually slouch out and move their stupid cars. Yet the following day, those cars are right back there on the footpath again
Why do Western populations have to EDUCATE ignorant Italians after they've lived in our countries for many decades? Are Italians inherently STUPID? Are they merely ignorant? Or do they think they can dominate the host populations who're forced to tolerate them?

Lol you all are out of your minds, if you even had them to begin with. Isolating a few incidences you may have had with some Italian people and then stereotyping a country is the most ignorant thing you could do. Hitler did that and ended up mass murdering millions of Jews just because he thought they were ALL EVIL. Look how well that turned out in the end. It was shameful and everyone now realizes it. I'm sure there are some annoying/ignorant Italians out there, but lumping groups of people together into one category is a recipe for disaster and does not sound very educated of you. Us Americas have ourselves quite a bad reputation in other countries as we are all well aware of. However, we are not all like the idiots other countries make us out to be, are we?

ReplyDeleteLived here 15 months - can't wait to leave. Have lived in Asia and elsewhere in Europe. Italy is easily the worst place I have ever lived. Italians are....very odd...and there are many many self inflicted reasons they are in the economic and political mess its in.

ReplyDeleteI have lived in 3 continents over the last 5 years. Asia, Northern America and Europe. I am married to an Italian. I have been living here in southern Italy for a year now. I am Asian by origin. I have nothing against Italy. I love the food, the culture,art and music. But what I don't like is the ignorance of the uneducated people living here. I have been a chef for my whole life and I really do enjoy Italian food. But what annoys me is people here telling me that Italian food is the best food in the world. I have had people come to me and said to my face"noodles are disguisting" when I went to a shop to buy some noodles. They have no idea that pasta was brought to Italy by Columbus from China, back then it was noodles. Pretty much everything was foreign origin. From Pizza(by Arabs,something similar to flat bread) to tomatoes from America by Spanish. Italians are proud of their food, yes I understand that but people here lack the audacity to appreciate other cuisine,culture or religion. I even learnt how to speak italian in 6 months. I pushed myself so hard to adapt but people here don't seem to accept stranieri(foreigner). Talking about jobs, italy is a worst place to work. They discriminate people. Just because I am a foreigner I get paid half the amount that an Italian get. I had so much respect, love for this country but after living for a year now me and my partner have finally decided to move to UK. Not everyone that I met were ignorant but most of them were. They all talk nice and friendly but all they want is to sfruttare (exploit).
